About SAPIE
SAPIE acts as an independent and non-profit platform whose mission is to empower the Slovak innovation ecosystem. It's the largest professional association representing over 180 member companies and organizations. SAPIE is also a leading platform for policy debate on digital economy and innovation in Slovakia aspiring to unite leaders within the CEE region. It is active in forming collaborative networks of private and public actors, supporting the startup scene and community and enhancing digital transformation of SMEs within the CEE region.
Our pillars
Policy
We believe that openness and interactions between stakeholders are the key to formulating innovation strategies and regulations that support the innovation economy. We act as the unifying voice of innovative companies in Slovakia in promoting an open, outward-looking and flexible legislation that serves as an enabler of innovation. By being part of various governmental councils and working groups and collaborating with government officials, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders, we ensure that the interests and needs of the innovation community are well-represented in the legislative process.
Education
In order to succeed in a highly competitive innovative economy companies must constantly improve the skills of their key asset - employees. Therefore we drive activities that increase digital, entrepreneurial and managerial skills. We created our own Meet&Learn program, where members can share their knowledge with each other and the wider community. Apart from that, through our other projects we provide professional trainings featuring key experts in the fields.
Ecosystem
We value the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders. Our primary aim is to develop a thriving ecosystem that brings together businesses, investors, research institutions, government and NGO to collaborate, share resources, and drive collective growth. Through our networking events, conferences, and workshops they have the opportunity to draw inspiration, find a partner for collaboration, and establish valuable connections.
Our journey
SAPIE Forum 2023
The first year of the SAPIE Forum. It brings together high level representatives from governments, business, NGOs and third sector coming from the CEE region and beyond.
Innovation Mission to Israel
SAPIE in cooperation with Slovak Embassy in Tel Aviv and IT Valley Košice has conducted the first innovation mission of 2023 to Tel Aviv. It comprised almost 50 people from the Slovak innovation ecosystem and was a bottomless source of inspiration.
Chatovačka
For our members, we organized the first informal offsite event called Chatovačka. The event was held at the cottage in a very informal atmosphere, where our members could share their success, and news and mainly rest from daily work duties.
Innovation Regional Tour
SAPIE’s Regional Innovation Tour came to Lučenec, Banská Bystrica, Žilina and Košice this year.
League for Digital Boost
Our new initiative called the League for Digital Boost started in november 21. Initiative had the ambition to create a broad coalition of actors in the field of digital economy. We bring together actors who care about the digitization of small and medium-sized enterprises in CEE region.
Innovate Slovakia
We are launching a new platform InnovateSlovakia.sk to empower the Slovak innovate and start-up scene and foster its innovative capacities. The objective of this portal is to provide all the information and data critical to enable their fact-based decision-making and the growth of the start-up and the whole innovation ecosystem.
